Artist-led workshops for schools, libraries and cultural settings.

Creativity is under attack for children and the communities around them.
No one decided creativity didn’t matter. Yet you can feel time for it shrinking — less and less room for people to make, play and lose themselves in something creative.
This is the danger of drift. It never announces itself. And while it wins, the window closes — the core memories people don't make now won’t be waiting later.
Dale Connelly is a British Visiting Artist who leads Action Art Play workshops for children, young people and the wider community, and has done so everywhere from London to Japan.
Dale's research-informed Action Art Play workshops are designed to help people relax, have fun and feel free to create.
There’s no pressure to make a “nice picture”. Participants start with a blank banner and fill it collectively with paint by moving — balancing, stretching and jumping — guided by prompts, a composed soundtrack and games. The workshops move between bursts of high energy and calmer, quieter moments.
The aim is the experience itself: people leave having made something together, felt proud of it, and enjoyed the freedom to create without worrying about getting it “right". This is Action Art Play.
